Mountains and Translators

SNOWCAT.JPG, 14 kB
I am stopping to inspect the snow depth and tracks.
I have slipped over the edge before and you learn to take it seriously. And where are my sunglasses? That is serious.

(Transporting a friend to a mountain top about 1995?)
Outside work can be hard, exciting, and somewhat dangerous.
Many companies know me, and I am hired by a few for transportation; If not as a contract engineer, then as a fellow engineer, sharing favors with no direct exchange of money. Engineers, all over northern California, are willing to share resources for the benefit of all. And this shared help, may be in spite of engineers working for competing stations; absolutely no difference to engineers!

At one time, I posted our spare parts for my fellow engineering friends to see on the web. But I was servery chastised, and, worse, prohibited from sharing this kind of information. I am saddened by the outcome, but I reluctantly do comply. During 35 years in broadcasting, I have seen many stations off the air, and in desperate need of parts. Parts - of which I have pictures - and I know where they are located; and could supply IMMEDIATELY. At the time of this writing, I am no longer working for any Broadcaster; and this is one of the reasons. This web site will not be shut down, nor friends alienated.
