VanDamme State Park
My parking space was so unlevel that I had to place a bottle jack under one of the
axels, and extend a rear stabilizer all the way extended. And dispite all the effort,
and according to the levels
inside the refrigerator, I still did not quite make level, but I am allowed several degrees.
What matters more, is if you can travel straight down the hall without crashing into the wall.
Hope it doesnt hurt the leaf springs to have one wheel supporting the frame,
and the other wheel
just hanging...
Moved to a new location for a few days. Here is the view from inside the trailer:
Vandamme State Park.
Large beautiful meadow out the back window and also to the side.
Several tame deer are grazing on the far side.
I like this spot because there is lots of sun.
Got here either Thursday or Friday before the weekend rush.
If you have to stop, take time out, and figure out what day it is, then you are not having enough fun.
Besides, I don't know if State Parks have the same days as every where else.
I believe it is permanently a Saturday or Sunday depending on your preference.
The excess solar power is used in trivial places. Here the surplus energy is used to
heat one of the water filters. This is done by sending the power into incandescent lamps.
I have these bulbs all over the place, and when I see the bulbs lit then I know that the batteries
are reaching full charge.
The sun was good at Vandamme and gave me 8 amps of current.
Three or four hours at this rate replenishes everthing that I used the night before.
There is not much morning fog on Vandamme's upper loop. We had one day of rain, but even that was good.
I have two batteries, and can easily skip a day of no sun and no charging.
So the rain is welcome and is quite fun too.
