Grand Wailea Resort
2011.Feb.24
We can not afford this place. We can not even think about affording this place.
Butterflies are something I like; Grand Wailea is something my wife likes...

You should take in the Maalaea Aquarium...
Haleakala
Haleakala Sunrise (about 06:37)
And a bike ride down the "mountain".
This is our Friend Roger from Chico.
He and his wife Guen are traveling with us.
The girls decided not to ride down the mountain.
But the girls are not as tough as us men.
Garden Of Eden
Almost exactly half way to Hana.
(I believe there was an entrance fee of $10.00 per person at this park.)
Linda has found a leaf. She was asking me if she could take it.I said no. You can take nothing but memories. This is paradise.
I wonder if I could take any Ginger?
Look at the size of this Swamp Mahogany trunk. I put myself in the picture to give you a comparison. The bark is like very thick soft paper. It feels "spongy".

Hookipa Lookout
Girl looking at good looking coral...
It is definite. We be a little happy.
Take in a Luau.
Royal Lahaina:
This one had great food: Baked Mau Mau, Shredded Pork, Broasted Chicken, Corn on the Cob, etc.
The Plantation:
Zip Lining has become the rage over here. You do not have to go up the face of Haleakala to Zip Line.Every time that we have come to Maui, we see the low fog hugging the side of hills. The fog is just over our heads. You can almost touch it as it rolls over.Wow! The fog, sun, ocean breeze, smells, gentle rain, and a sky full of low clouds; what more could a mortal ask for? All this stuff is bountiful and fills your senses.
Typical Parking Lot for Maui
Hilo Hatties:
...With their van and two reserved spaces.
The ticket dispenser for this parking lot did not issue me a ticket when I drove in. However the barrier arm didallow me to pass. The wonderful girls inside Hilo Hatties personally fixed the problem. They took the problem upon themselves! One girl went way out of her way,and went outside, started her private car, and drove it through the gate. She personally retrieved a ticket for me.Then promptly indorsed it with a stamp - and all with a smile.
If you try to leave the lot without a stamp, it will cost you $25.00!
Boy, was I impressed. People just ordinarily don't do that kind of thing for one another. You will find good hearted people in Hilo Hatties; and its typical of the island.
And a typical Mantis
While Linda is shopping, I found a green freind.
And look at this purple LillyPad flower growing in a fresh water pond.
