Seeds: The embryo of the dicot has two halves.
Class EUDICOTS:
Eudicots have pollen with three or more pores set in furrows called colpi.
Pollen: Tricolpate pollen
In monocots, pollen has one furrow or pore while in Eudicots (dicots) they have three.
Leaves typically have a single, branching, main vein originating at the base of the leaf blade, or three or more main veins that diverge from the base.
Leaves are reticulated: major leaf veins are not parallel.
Flowers: The flower parts in monocots are multiples of three while in Eudicots (dicots) are multiples of four or five.
Stems: In monocots, the stem vascular bundles are scattered, while in Eudicots (dicots) they are in a ring.
Roots: The roots are adventitious in monocots, while in dicots they develop from the radicle.
