Germenated plant at UC Davis in a one gallon pot.
The central tubular spadix is hollow.
The surface of which contains the pollen.
The carpels are down in the bottom of the plant at the bottom of the spadix.
The tip of the spadix is approximately human body temperature.
Exothermic, (heat producer)
Thermogenic
Both male and female flowers grow in the same inflorescence.
But are seperted in time of flower opening.
This prevents the flower from self-pollinating.
A tubar like structure: The corm.
