I have built several Remote Control Centers. One spanning several buildings, the biggest. That one was in Cohasset California, and was the Remote Broadcast Station for KHSL-TV.
I had many microprocessor modules distributed in buildings and in equipment in those buildings. I controlled all broadcast transmitters, Microwave gear, Cameras, and even Security. All modules communicated with each other over my modified RS485 lines. Each module had control relays to control equipment. And each module had input lines to measure and see events. Modules communicated at will. Today it could be called "AI". The communication system was similar to the CAN system in that all modules could communicate at the same time on the same lines. My advantage was that I could communicate many hundreds of feet. The CAN system can not.

My system also has Human Speech. Any module can speak, by communicating to a Speaking Module. By division of labor, the Speaking Module's sole purpose is to technically speak. It verbally forms words and sentences.

One interesting quirk of my system in the 1990s was a way for a human to tell if my system was speaking. My system, before speaking would make a sound of "Clearing its throat." This practice is normally only know to be practiced by humans. However, I needed something, and I choose it. I also choose a way to end a synthetic sentence: A "Spit sound". As I have mentioned elsewhere on this site, I got this, or copied this idea, from a comedian that I heard while I was in High School. The comedian was wondering why there was no punctuation contained in the human spoken language. I was probably the first human to officially incorporate punctuation in robotic Speakers.

My Secretarial Program ties in to my Remote Control System at home and in the RV; Enhancing its awareness and reach.

Here, the secretaries have access to the outside temperature.

But, I have dozens of other local physical parameters available if I want the girls to work with it. Each module keeps a week long history too. It is located internal locally in the module.
